You've sat through the meeting that should have been an email. You've smiled through the performance review that somehow praised your "growth mindset" while announcing a 2% raise. You've nodded confidently at a strategy you didn't fully understand, delivered by someone who understood it even less.
You've been there. We've been there. And now it's a card game.
Shit Show: Corporate Edition drops September 15th — and we're giving you a sneak peek at exactly what's inside.
Life's a Shit Show. Have Fun and Play It.
Here's the thing nobody talks about enough: the workplace is objectively, universally, hilariously absurd. Not in a depressing way — in a we're all in this together and it's kind of ridiculous and that's okay way.
The jargon that means nothing. The processes that exist to justify themselves. The reorg that changes everyone's title and nothing else. The all-hands that ends with "we'll share more soon." You can't change it. You can't always escape it. But you can absolutely laugh at it — loudly, with your friends, over drinks, with a deck of cards that gets it completely.
That's what Corporate Edition is. It's not therapy. It's better than therapy. It's a room full of people who've all lived the same absurdity, finally getting to say the quiet part out loud — and scoring points for it.
The Bullshit card is in play. The Ringmaster keeps things moving. Nobody gets a pass. And by the end of the night, you'll have laughed harder than you have in any actual meeting, ever.
Life's a Shit Show. Have fun and play it.
150 Cards. Zero Corporate Speak.
Corporate Edition comes loaded with 150 cards — prompts and responses designed to capture every flavor of workplace chaos you've ever survived.
We're talking the passive-aggressive email. The manager who schedules a meeting to discuss the meeting. The performance improvement plan that improved nothing. The team lunch where nobody actually relaxes. The mission statement nobody believes. The pivot. The re-pivot. The "exciting new direction."
It's all in there.
And because we know we couldn't possibly cover your specific brand of workplace madness, every deck also comes with 15 blank customization cards — 5 blank prompts and 10 blank responses. Those are for the stuff only your table will understand. The nickname for your most unbearable coworker. The phrase from the last all-hands that made everyone's eye twitch. The thing that happened at the offsite that nobody talks about but everybody remembers.
Write it down. Play it. Watch the table absolutely lose it.
Corporate Edition is fully standalone — crack it open and play without anything else. Or mix it with the original Shit Show and The Matrix Edition for a game night that goes places nobody planned.
Here's a Taste — Cards From the Deck
We're pulling two prompts and six sample responses straight from the deck. These are just a taste — in real play, every person at the table brings their own answer, and trust us, some will be better than others. That's where the chaos lives. Consider this your formal warning.
📋 Prompt Card #1:
"My biggest workplace skill is ___."
This one hits differently depending on where you are in your career. Fresh out of college? You're still figuring out what the answer should be. Five years in? You know exactly what it actually is. Ten years in? You've stopped pretending there's a difference.
Responses in play:
Looking busy The art form of all art forms. Perfected by anyone who's ever had a manager who equates visibility with productivity. You're not doing more — you just look like you are. And honestly? Same outcome.
Smiling through meetings A core competency that somehow never makes it onto the resume. Hours of maintaining a pleasant, engaged expression while internally composing your grocery list. A truly transferable skill.
Nodding confidently The universal language of the workplace. You don't have to know what's happening. You just have to look like you do. Nod slowly. Make eye contact. Let them assume the rest.
💸 Prompt Card #2:
"My annual raise covered ___."
Ah. Here we go.
This prompt is for everyone who's opened their pay stub after a review that used words like "exceptional," "invaluable," and "we really see your potential here" — and then did the math.
Responses in play:
One coffee a week Not daily. Not even the good kind. One medium drip, one day a week, from the place that isn't your favorite but is close to the office. That's what exceptional contributions to the team are worth, apparently.
A half tank of gas Which gets you to work and most of the way back. The remaining half is considered a personal development investment.
Inflation's lunch The raise happened. It was real. It just didn't quite outpace the thing that also happened to every single product and service you purchase to survive. But hey — recognized!
Nobody Gets a Pass. That's Always Been the Shit Show Way.
Corporate Edition doesn't punch down at workers or up at executives. It holds a mirror up to a system that everyone inside it knows is a little absurd — and gives everyone at the table equal opportunity to say so.
That's the recognition laugh. The one where someone goes "oh my god, that's so accurate" before they've even finished reading the card. The one that turns a regular Friday night into a story you'll tell at the next game night. And the one after that.
That's what 150 cards of pure, distilled workplace absurdity gets you.
Life's a Shit Show. You already know it. Now you can play it.
Coming September 15th
Corporate Edition is available standalone or bundled with the original Shit Show and The Matrix Edition. Pre-orders are open now — and given what happened last time we launched something people actually wanted, we'd suggest not waiting.
The Bullshit card is ready. The conference room is booked. Nobody's sure why.
